This summer I made a short, 10 day excursion to Europe with friend, band mate and fellow educator, Alan. We went to Amsterdam first, and last... We only had about 2 days of exploring in this city, so we made the best of it. We took the tram almost everywhere it took us. We made stops at a church, the Van Gogh museum, Dam Square, a nice park with a pond (and swans), and of course restaurants and a jazz club. We found the food to be good for the most part. The best part was the cozy atmosphere where everyone was sitting on the street side having dinner or drinks and relaxing.
The canals were also very cool and each house boat had it's own address. What a great idea. Every part of the city was very crowded, yet comfy and filled with bikes of course! There was great art from statues to graffiti.
Here are a few of the places I liked best. Enjoy!
